I was reading in a bill gunston book “MIGs” that old interceptors from PVO were transfered to VVS in early 80s to be used as a reserve point defence interceptor force…did this ever happen?
did the soviets had any plans to use such old planes mig-17/19/21 esp. in that role ? were any even operational in the 80s ?
