Future RAF structure!

Following closely in the footsteps of Fedaykin, for my 1,000th post, I too am starting a new thread!

Given all the discussions on the naval sub-forum about the future structure of the Royal Navy, I thought it could be amusing for us to have a fresh approach to the RAF topic. However, to avoid this turning into yet another ‘to F-35 or not to F-35’ thread, let us instead focus on the supporting types.

I would like peoples takes on the RAF’s transports, tankers, ISTAR aircraft and other procurement issues. Obviously sticking to the bounds of realism, though perhaps a little permissive on budgetary issues!
