Downloading Video Clips Problems

i am having problems with downloading clips with vdownloader. does it has to do with the refurbished laptop that i purchased (XP Professional)?! i had no problems when i still had Windows Vista software laptop, but didn’t like it and decided to sell it when i ordered the refurbished laptop from EBay. even i didn’t have problems when i had the XP Home Edition with mu old HP laptop couple of years back (but it stopped working and everything in it were gone).
