Should the next generation of American CVN's use electromagnetic catapults?

Will the next generation of American CVN’s use electromagnetic or steam-powered catapults? The steam catapults are reliable and sturdy. But technology has reached the point where they should be able to accellerate aircraft safely using electromagnetic motor technology. In all respect, the electric catapult should outperform steam when it comes to both brute force and velocity.
