About four years ago, My son was one of the young lads involved in the BBC program ‘D-Day, the raw recruits’. They put young men through training in all of the services, to see how they would have coped with wartime training.
For his RAF training he flew in helicopters and Herc’s, as well as managing to be selected for a flight lasting over an hour and a half in the back seat of a 16 Squadron Jaguar. Since the kittycats have departed from service can anyone throw light of the identity of the aircraft nearest in the attached image.
That is my son in the back seat in that image, now aged 26, he wants to know what has happened to ‘his’ Jag. Was she scrapped, mothballed or languishing in a museum(hopefully) somewhere.
I would appreciate any help:)
