Ok so obviously I’m on a Chinese aviation bent right now…But after thinking about it for a bit and looking up the specs of the latest F-7MG models with new radars, double delta wings, cockpit avionics and even HMS cued AAMs, it seems to me that this extraordinarily cheap little fighter still has a place in the world of military aviation…It seems perfect for Latin American and African AFs that need a supersonic fighter capable of patrolling airspace, dominating WVR combat and simple ground attack missions (I dont know why Latin American nations haven’t purchased large quantities of these aircraft). Obviously the lack of BVR is a major drawback, but when battling other COIN or bush AFs, these modern F-7s should be deadly…
just wondering what those more knowledgeable than myself thought on the matter…
