In the Financial Times today.
Lord Drayson said after a meeting with Sec. Def. Gordon England, “I have now received the necessary assurances from the US on technology transfer to allow me to sign the MoU” (Memorandum of understanding).
This will allow the UK to ensure there is an “Unbroken chain of command of UK citizens”
Above information taken from today’s FT.
This is great news for the F35 and the Uk, imho. I just hope that we decide on the F-35C for our carriers and maybe the F-35B for the RAF. It would give a better capability from the carriers and still give the forces a flexible STOVL aircraft for forward deployments if need be.
