Is war the best way to promote yr military product?

SOviet Union was the biggest military supplier before the 90s.

Gulf War 1 happened in 1991 and was a major conflict. It saw a hell load of new weapon being used. Subsequently after the war,US replaced Russia as biggest supplier of military product. F-16 selling like hotcakes around the world and F-15 was also heavily sought. Apache attack chopper and patriot ADM was subsequently bought by many allies even former soviet bloc countries start buying US military product.

Does we really need War to promote the product?
