Dassault Rafale question

I’ve just read on Dassault’s website that the Rafale can use the Damoclès laser designation pod to use LGBs.

So my question is, why can’t it use the OSF instead? How hard would it be to just add a laser designator to the OSF, considering it already has a laser rangefinder?
