I recently found out that a number of navy F-4B Phantom were redesignated F-4G (no relation to the airforce Wild Weasel) and fitted with an ASW-13 datalink which allowed among other things automated carrier landing.
They were used over Vietnam with an experimental Green paint scheme, then returned back to F-4B standard.
Anyone have any insights or info on the nature of this system?
