No real f-22A demo until 2008

I got this out of the latest codeone issue –

The F-22 single-ship demonstration this year is relatively straightforward. It consists of a maximum climb to the vertical after takeoff, bleeding off excess speed and power — essentially hanging in midair, then rolling out to horizontal flight. Next is a pass in review from right to left; after repositioning, the pilot performs a high-speed pass from left to right. The aircraft is then flown around the edge of the show line for a pass from behind the crowd followed by a pitchup to landing. “We are not demonstrating the real capability of the F-22,” Hecker adds. “For us, it is not even a case of learning to walk before learning to run. It is more of a case of learning to crawl before walking. We are doing more shows this year, but it will probably be 2008 before we feel confident to show what the Raptor can really do.”

And all this while i was planning to visit some places where they were going to have the raptor 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡
