few months ago, there is report that during mock dogfight, RAF Ef-2000 “shoot downed” 4 F-15E belonging to 25th (?) airwing.
report that during mock air combat,NATO wanted to establish just how effective was the E-3C Joint data tactical distribution system (or link-16) over conventional radio.
the 4 F-15E was vector into combat arena using “quick talk” while the EF-2000 was provided targeting data via JTDIS,result was one sided victory for the EF-2000.
in the desert storm and allied forces, something like 99% of aerial killed was achieve thru link-16.(out of 39 iraqi jet shoot down in dogfight, only 2 killed was achieved via “quick talk” frequency hopping radio)
Do Link-16 function like, said very similiar to internet?
