'Harrier crashes near pub in Oxfordshire'

”A RAF Harrier plane is believed to have crashed near a pub in Oxfordshire, according to eye witness reports.
People at the scene say the pilot and co-pilot ejected while the plane was very close to the ground.

The plane then crashed near Sturdy’s Castle Pub on the A4260 in Tackley near Bicester on Thursday evening.

MoD confirmed it was investigating reports that a Harrier pilot ejected over Oxfordshire and said two rescue helicopters were searching the area.

A spokesman from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said that firefighters are at the scene of the crash off Banbury Road”
