Future of the Belgian AF

I haven´t read much about the Belgian AF on this forum but I know that it is going through a dramatic downsizing like many other AFs in Europe. Still sooner or later the Belgian AF needs to replace it´s aging F16s. What aircraft will the best solution for Belgium? Is it likely to the JSF or one of the Euro canards?

BTW, should Belgium have joined the JSF program or was it a smart decision not to become a partner?
