According to Jane’s, RN Sea Harrier FA2s ‘surprised’ USAF F-15Cs in the exercise Purple Star in 1996 by firing simulated AMRAAMs in TWS rather than STT mode – the F-15C’s RWR couldn’t tell whether the Sea Harrier fired AMRAAMs or not.
Now here is the question – does “constant power for all waveforms” has anything to do with deceiving the opponent’s RWR?
