An-124 at Geilenkirchen

Today while on the way to work directly above me at about 1000-1500m i observerd An-124 going for landing at Geilenkirchen AB in Germany.Does NATO frequently rent these transports for moving heavy equipment and cargo?Arent the american C-5 Galaxies used?

Anyways what suprised me is the fact how quiet the engines were.I know that when an E-3A passes above as it goes to land at Geilenkirchen,the engines make a lot more noise!

I didnt even bother to take a photo with the camera on my mobile phone as you know how the quality would be.Where is the digital camera when you need it! 🙁
