A while ago, fellow former Crobato threw in his 2 cents and felt that Bigger aircraft such as the Su-27, etc are better suited for low intensity wars, such as those in Afrika. Thought it was an interesting idea to discuss.. so what say ye gentlemen?
Sure, they cost more to run, but you can probably get away with lesser number of them.. and you don’t exactly need a quick and simple light point defence fighter in such a war either.
