Iran & Mig-31?

I’ve read some stories that Iran has been wanting to get their hands on Mig-31s for a while, and other stories that say they already have as many as 24!

Is there any truth to this?

And if Iran gets Mig-31s, how would that effect the balance of power in the middle east if at all? I suppose they could be useful for intercepting any potential pre-emptive strike from Israel, if time provides.

And also, are Iran’s S-300’s and new SA-6 any match for what Israel might use for a pre-emptive attack? And do they have any capability against potential US cruise missile attacks?
