F/a-22 Question??

Regarding the F/a-22 there were many rumours by aviation magazines and others that the raptor might be getting an IRST and targetting system in the future..however if i remember correctly the space that was provided for the IRST(reserved) was no longer made available after the YF22 had shifted to the new design f/a-22..Where can such a system be accomodated..Do the band 3 arrays or band 4 arrays (slotted T-R mods in 2009) which would go into the posterior and anterior surface of the wings be able to hold certain components of the IRST.
