All modern Air Forces spend a lot of money to get power multiplyers as AW&C aircrafts, air-Tankers, Ground targeting aircrafts, ELINT/SIGINT, EW, Maritime patrol and ASW aircrafts etc…
Those aircrafts are usualy big (rcs…), slow, heavy, platforms with no capability of self defence (except mayby ECM) and rely to other aircraft for their protection (CAP missions, safety zones etc…)
How vulnerable r they when it comes to a “symetric” (air) combat field where neither side would have absolute air supremacy (ex. USAF over Afganistan ,Irak or even Bosnia)?
How long will stand those “hight value targets” against modern fighters armed with BVR missiles?
