Once again a Chinese related topic …

Here with this tread I want to collect as much as possible information about the several different modern Western items China obtained during the pre-1998 time …

To start with I tried a list – that is surely not complete – … but it’s a start:

USA (esp. during the ‘Peace Pearl’ Sino-US cooperation programme):
• CFM-56. other engines ???
• Avionics and radar technology … where there any APG-66 delivered ??? Others ???

Israel:
• Avionics ????
• Missiles (Phython III)

France:
• R.550 Magic II, Crotale, … others ???
• Others ???

Great Britain:
• RR Spey 202 and 512 … others ???
• Was there really an attempt to export Harriers and the Tornado to China ???

Italy:
• Helicopters development aid
• Missiles (Aspide) ???

Germany:
• ?????

Hope not to start once again another flame-war …. So please just give information, esp. when was what delivered and let’s discuss !!!
