Soviet aviation in the Far East during the 80's

I am interested in what the Soviets had stationed in the Russian Far East during the 80’s (if anything, the late 80’s). I recalled that Sakhalin was once called the “world’s largest aircraft carrier”, although it’s pretty empty today.
