Military techno-thrillers.

I did not know what forum to place this thread in but I want to know who is everyone’s favorite military writer and why. A list of good books to read would be great. What does everyone think about popular writers like Tom Clancy, Dale Brown, Stephen Coonts, Larry Bond, David Hargberg, Dean Ing, and James H. Cobb.
