Taifun and P-42: Soviet Carrier Based ASW Proposals?

1. Here’s the link to “Taifun:”

I got very little from the translation. I’m not even sure about the OKB. (Beriev?) However, I do get the impression that the COD role was very much in the minds of the designers (more so than with the Viking).

The side profile drawing was more informative.

Notice the flight refueling basket of an internal HDU – much like a KA-6D.

In addition, the engine location is very clever – and more reminiscent of business jet practice than the S-3 Viking.

So we have a mystery COD/Tanker/ASW aircraft?

Can anyone shed some light on the “Taifun.”

2. The above link refers to “P-42.” (Not to be confused with the record setting Sukhoi Su-27 derivative.)

As I understand it, the P-42 was a turboprop powered ASW aircraft.

I found the attached image in a drawing of the Russian carrier Baku (later Gorshkov). Notice the peculiar butterfly tail. Which OKB made this proposal?
