we know the Rafale isn’t doing too good.. but does the existance of the Mirage 2000 further prevents the Rafale from being sold? The Mirage, while being older, is still being sold. Most of the customers who bought it, bought it relatively recently and probably won’t need a new French replacement for a while. It’s multi role capabilities are much more developed. Not too many countries need a two engined fighter.. those who are interested in one seem to prefer F-15 and Flankers. and the Mirage should be able to last long enough until 5th generation aircraft (and other alternatives to Rafale) are ready for export.. any thoughts?
