All of you fail to understand and realise the reason why the Raptor and JSF are so limited as far as speed goes. Had you had the proper physics background you would have realised its the effect of heat in the fuselage involved with high mach speed that made the designers stop at around mach 1.8. The Falcon itself is also electronically limited at somewhere above mach 2.0 because after that the structure would degrade badly. In the case of the JSF and Raptor, its not only the structure but the special secret RAM (radar absorving material) coating that would wear off and also the very carefully made zig-zag type precision-cut points in the fuselage (like in the armament bay and landing gear and canopy) that would expand with heat and retract with cold temperatures and create gaps and other mechanical problems associated with very tightly cut fuselage panels. The gaps would also reflect more radar waves.
Both the Raptor and JSF are always excessively overrated anyways and the americans just cant cope with russian aviation developments just like boeing cant cope with airbus.
As far as the western world goes you should all be looking at the Eurofighter.
