The EL/M-2060 is based on Synthetic Aperture Radar/Ground Moving Target Indication (SAR/ GMTI) technology to allow all-weather acquisition of stationary and moving targets. Targets acquired by the RTP are delivered either to the aircraft’s onboard weapon systems or transferred to aircraft in the same network via a network-centric ‘smart’ datalink.
p.s. the Mirages are also going to get these, originally they were supposed to be first recipient.
