50th Anniversary

I thought I would let everyone know that yesterday 1 August was the anniversary of the first flight of the U-2. Tony LeVier took the first U-2 to a altitude of 36 feet when it went airborne during a high speed taxi test. The first planned flight followed three days later, 4 August 1955. Remarkable airplane designed by a remarkable man Kelly Johnson.
