Been messing around with Google Earth for a bit now. Thought I’d share some of the things I’ve been able to locate. So far, I’ve found:
2 S-300 sites in Russia
1 Russian ABM site
A couple of Polish SAM sites, abandoned
3 Libyan SA-3 sites
2 Libyan SA-2 sites
2 empty Libyan SAM sites
An Iranian SA-5 site
The Buran
A U-2 in flight
A U-2 on the ground
Every surviving Blackbird
A Gripen in Sweden
A Swedish aircraft static display
A Russian aircraft static display
Libyan FOXBATs
A Libyan BLINDER
2 Formosan F-16s in flight
The Varyag
The Nellis AFB threat museum
An Egyptian army base
A Libyan army base
Chernobyl
The Russian Central Armed Forces Museum
Brazilian Navy aircraft carriers
Area 51
So, let’s see if we can try something. Let’s see how many of the following we can locate:
SAM sites (NIKE sites in the US don’t count, they’re already labeled!)
Aircraft in flight (should be a bunch of these!)
Non-American aircraft carriers (or US carriers outside the US)
MiG-29s
Rafales
EF-2000s
Enjoy! Later on I’ll post some images of the things I’ve found (apart from the 2 S-300 sites, they’re on the other forum already).

The Clemenceau stayed in toulon for nearly 8 years since its withdrawal in October 1997.
Watch this space… this is where Clemenceau resides since returning from its round-the-world cruise (by tug) last year.

If is it in Toulon harbor,I think The Clemenceau .
It is the Clemenceau: if you look at the port rear flightdeck you see a big C painted there (just at the end of the word ‘Digital Globe’)
