The hangers at Cardington are listed buildings so they cant be touched. Shame about the rest of the site though.

Don’t you believe it. If you or I own a listed building there a numerous restrictions as to what we’re allowed to do with it but if the government owns a listed building they seem to be able to knock them down or modify them as they see fit. I know of a couple of listed buildings that were owned by local government which have been knocked down in the last few years.
