Could someone explain how a TWS of 256 targets is possible?

I’m not sure IFF tracks and/or passive tracks from the (separate) ESM system should be considered, esp. if they are’nt stored in the memory of the radar computer itself.
Just for the record, two years ago, the brochure read ‘100 targets’.
