Well not quite, but the next best thing is happening: The engineers who were working on it have gotten together and are going to build an exact copy of it.
Unfortunately this will be difficult because all the blueprints were destroyed. When Diefenbaker ordered the Arrow project to be cancelled, he also ordered all traces of the Arrow destroyed. This included 5 built prototypes, and 37 more Arrows in various stages of completion on the production line, and all blueprints and data about the Arrow. It is still not clear to me why even the blueprints had to be destroyed.
This project has aroused the interest of many Canadian aerospace enthusiasts and lots of people and companies are helping with the project to recreate the arrow.
Here are some pictures of them building the Arrow (quality of pictures is low because I captured it from TV with my computer’s tv card and I can’t get the channel really clear, because like most Canadians, I don’t have cable).
