Su-22 Fatal crash

1 two seatter Sukhoi Su-22 from the Peruvian Air Force (FAP) crashed at 13:00hrs aprox
the victims are Comander FAP Winston San Martin Canales and Captain FAP Mauricio Perez Velarde (my condolences to their families)
the crash was near the town of Lurin (about 50Kms south of lima), it appears that one pilot ejected (a bit too late) and died from the impact with the ground, his parachute wasnt fully deployed, either due to the short time or failure (this is unclear) while the other remain with the aircraft in an attempt to a crash land, this man died shortly after from his wounds.
another point to add was the bad weather in Lima at the time.
the aircraft was leading a formation practicing for a traditional air festival celebrating the end of the academic year on the Air Force.
the celebrations include 4 aircraft of each combat type for this year, the Su-22’s were among Mig-29, Su-25, M2k, Mb-339 and Tucanos all programed for a flying display.
this activity has being postponed for next monday.
