Gripen or F16, what would you choose?

Put yourself in the position of an officer in charge of procurement for a small air force, going to buy a light weight multi-role aircraft with NATO inter operability. You don’t have a huge budget, so you need to factor cost into the decision.

Do you choose the Gripen (as have Hungary, Czech republic and Thailand)
Or the F16 ( as many nations have, recently Poland and Chilie)
Give reasons, hope this can be an interesting and informative debate.
