Europe’s Strategic Heavylift
Europe’s new heavylift will be able to carry 330,000 lbs/150 tonnes over 5,600nm/10,400km in its huge belly (but still not abt what An-124s can, not to mention An-225), though one can expect the specification to change anytime as per requirements …
The first commercial version of this will enter service in 2008. 😉
So Europes true heavy lift could be based on this handsome superjumbo A380 with a same fuselage but with few other changes which are no great task for a consortium like Aibus and will be managed by Airbus Military.
so the probable changes could be –
– High mounted wings
– Nose and the Front section being modified for managing cargos
– Rear fuselage section being modifed to have ramp
– Modified tail section
– Pilots would be promoted 😉 to the top
so thats what I see it happening before say 2010 …. what do u guys think abt that possiblity?
