has anyone got any detailed information on the major war that nearly happened in early summer of 2002 with india and pakistan? i saw news reports on tv that showed cross borber shelling and some casualties but nothing more. i read in a newspaper that the american department of defense (has anyone got a copy of the report?) estimated that there would be three to twelve million deaths in a nuclear exchange depending on how bad it was. it was the bit of a leaked report. if true, how can the yanks put together such a report when events never happened like that? is it adding up populations of towns and cities likely to be hit aswell sa military bases? what effect would this have on the area if it happened other than a human catastrophe? it seems to me that in this day and age madness still comes close to having its way. onto the airforces, what role would the indian naval units have, like the destroyers and the carrier with the sea harrier fighters? would there be naval engagements with ships slugging it out ww2 style? is pakistan still using the ex british destroyers? it seems ironic that paf mirages and indian sea harriers could clash, along with ex british naval units that was once used in the falklands. what was the last air to air incident with fighter jets with india and pakistan? would the fighters carry nuclear weapons when a missile can do it much faster and as far in distance? i just want to know the military facts, not ideology or fanatasism, keep it military. over to you…
