What are the pros and cons of buying British?

following my thread on pros and cons of buying French.. how about one for the pros and cons of buying British. This one is harder because there’s less info on it.. but so far..

pros:
Quality is pretty good, and often the Brits benefit from tech transfers from both Europe and America

cons:
many components are American and probably would be best if the customer got along with both Britain and US in some cases.
rumored to be expensive..

so lets hear some stories and facts.. perhaps the Indian members have some information since they use some British weapons.
