A few questions about ejection seats/ejections..

Is it possible for a fighter pilot to eject upside down?

Lets say a pilot has to eject over hostile territory and the enemy is after him, does he have any arms to protect himself? Is it possible to attach a small gun/mini machine gun on the seat? Something like a MAC-10 or a MP-5…
