F-14 Crash Kills Both Pilots In Central Iran

TEHRAN (IRNA) — Both fighter pilots of an Iranian F-14 Tomcat were killed Monday morning after it crashed near the central city of Isfahan while landing.

The plane, based at the Sixth Air Base of the Iranian Army, went down and exploded while on a drill flight, the public relations office of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army confirmed, adding both pilots were ‘martyred’.

Military experts have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash, it said.
