Should the French just went with the dam F-18!?

the gap between the F-8 and the Rafale was enormous like your derrier.

the F-18 was advertised to the French, they say it was capable of launching off the Foch.. many in the Marine wanted it, could;ve replaced both the F-8 and Super Retarded earlier and probably would’ve ended the hassle of trying to build a 4th generation fighter for the navy at home, since the air force is already content with their M2Ks.
