Zooming in on western rather than the almost pillar-like topics of either
Russian and/or Chinese A/Cs said or claimed to be bogging down this forum, here’s a very legit,
rather sensitive, and likely also a very controversial, even intimidating question:
“Will the mighty Eagle in the pic below ever be in service with the Chinese PLAAF???”
Silly as the question may seem, has anyone,
however, ever asked this agreeably-nonsensical but, potentially real, legitimate,
worthwhile, and naturally authentic question???
My take: In due course, as tentions between the two dissipates
or eases, and tensions will dissipate between the two, I envison the Eagle to make its debute
in the PLAAF just as the mighty Flanker had debuted in the PLAAF.
However, it will not be based on need. It will rather
be based on gestures of goodwill, friendship, “mutual trust”, and it will be
based on warming of relations between the two nation.
