CFTs for the super hornet?

given the super hornet’s serious range/payload/speed deficiencies, i’ve been wondering about the possibility of mounting CFTs on the F/A-18E/F. they could easily be mounted on the upper fuselage/wing blend on the top part of the plane. it would free up the inner wing pylons on longer missions for much more ordnance.

since so many other modern jets have them — F-15s, F-16blk60s, Typhoons, Rafales, even Su30s — why not the “super” hornet?
