Russia will deliver 29 fully new Mi helicopters to the Czech Republic within the framework of writing off the state debt, a military-diplomatic source from the Czech military delegation reported to an ARMS-TASS correspondent at the ILA-2004 international aerospace salon.
According to the agreements reach in Moscow during a visit of a Czech military delegation, Russia will deliver through the Rosoboronehksport company 18 Mi-171 military transport helicopters from the Ulan-Ude aviation production association and 11 Mi-35 strike helicopters from the Rostov Rostvertol association for a total of 152 million euros. All helicopters will be delivered within the framework of writing off Russia?s state debt which is 588 million euros, the source noted.
Seven Mi-35 helicopters, which is the export variant of the Mi-24 helicopter produced by Rostvertol, were delivered to the Czech Republic last year. This delivery also was made toward a reduction of Russia’s state debt.
