In contrast to the speech given by defense minister Peter Struck on the 30 March Germany is under negotians with the British government to cancel the EF programm.
According to well informed sources the British are seeing the EF as an obsolete cold war relict, that will only have limited use in future conflicts. More JSFs and UACVs should be bought for the money saved from cacelling EF production after Batch 1.
Germany is interested in the SU-35 to fullfill their air defense needs. The money saved is to be invested in improving the economic situation and to fight the high unemployment rate.
Spain and Italy will be offered to take all Batch 1 aircraft to fullfill
their needs.
