Back in December, there was a thread that started out being about the MiG-33 and Yak-43 projects, with this drawing posted as the Yak-43.
However, volumn 10 of the International Air Power Review includes a fascinating article about Yak v/stol aircraft. The article ends with a single paragraph about the Yak-43.
It describes the design as having “a high-wing tailess monoplane with a trapezoidal wing.” It also says the plane was going to be powered by a direct lift turbojet without lift jets.
That description does not match this drawing, which appears to be a development of the Yak-41.
So the question remains … what did the Yak-43 look like?
