French company submits offer for interceptors to Austria
Vienna: Since Austria only wants to buy the best equipment for its army, the French Dessault company has now also become active. In a letter to Defence Minister Guenther Platter, the French offered 18 units of the Rafale interceptor for 1.4bn euros. The French company had not participated in the original invitation to bid because it believed that the Austrians only wanted to buy cheap aircraft for the surveillance of its airspace.
