KAI LIFT undergoing Radar Tests

The LIFT has a Radar and gun, the Trainers dont. Reports are that its going rather well. Its a Multimode Radar, used in other aircraft but upgraded for the T-50, the upgrade is talked up to be a major one.

“For both new and existing fighter aircraft, the AN/APG-67 multimode radar provides the pilot with the situation awareness and fire control capabilities necessary for modern combat engagement. The system provides both air and surface modes for true multi-role operation. The long-range detection and tracking capabilities allow maneuvering to gain tactical advantage. The radar is fully integrated and tested with BVR missiles (semi-active and data link), giving the APG-67 capability to use the tactical advantage gained from long-range detection and tracking. The highly capable tracking modes assure locking on and maintaining track during “high g” maneuvers. An optional high-resolution synthetic aperture imaging capability is available to enhance navigation and surface attacks.”
