Ok, I don’t want this to become a flame war, so lets be civil.
What is the quality of the fighters that are being built in China? In trerms of avionics, radar, missles, and maybe design, the Chinese may be a few steps behind the US, Russia, and Europe (I can’t state this for a fact, but this is my opinion. It’s logical.) I am interested in the quality of the product that they produce. Eventhough a particular plane maybe based on or even is a dated design, a license copy of a new fighter, or an indegenous design what is the build quality of that machine? In the past China seemed to go for quantity versus quality (again, this is my opinion based on the numbers of older aircraft and the fact that China was just starting to produce “modern” fighters. This alone would cause many problems including the quality of the finished product.) Today, the Chinese are acquiring smaller quantities of much more sophisticated and advanced planes. They are building them in house, be it a license Sukhoi or one of the planes designed in China. So how do the planes built by the Chinese perform in terms of build quality and “craftsmanship”?
Lets keep it clean 🙂
