What you say Guys this is my list.

1. USA Super power way ahead of the rest no contest. 5000 warplanes.

2. Russia. Still has 1500 plus combat planes. SU27/30 NEARLY 500. s300 400 & 500 missles cover. Awacs. Developing PAKFA 5TH generation. Sukhoi second only to USA in air force technology.

3. France. Has 500 frontline planes with over 200 mirage 2000. Rafael gas arrived. Awacs and superb training and aero nautical industrial base.

4. Israel. Best trained most combat proven in the world. 300f16S AND 80 F15s. Excellents awacs with E3 & Phalcon. Super tech base producing own weapons. Only down fall only half the power if USA pulled the plug.

5. RAF from UK. Excellent training super technology. Typhoon on its way. Lacked by numbers only 400 fighters. Current inventory good but not as good as the top 4. I mean TORNADO come on guys.

6. China. Increasingly modernising over 200su27/30. J10 entered service in small nos. Chinease weapons and budget real threat in coming decade. Lacks training or combat experience. Best equipment still imported frm Russia. To be higher in my league THEY NEED to prove in war and get rid of 1000 old junk mig19/21s

7. Japan has 150 F15 including F15I. has just finshed the JAPs own F16 version. 350 fighters all 4th generation. with E3 awacs. will get JSF in 2010.

8. Taiwan. Has 400 fighters. F16. Mirage2000 and their own version of F5. has Hawkeye AWACS and PATRIOT SAMS. usa TRAINing. Well organised.

9. India 750 FIGHTERS. su30mki, mirage 2000 and mig29. Phalcon on its way. Increasingly better aero industry of its own. Has to get rid of 300 mig21S to be higher in league. LCA needs to be a success if india is to be in top 5 and need 5th generation PAKFA in 2010.

10. Germany. With 400 FIGHTERS and Tornados with Typhoon to come they are super trainedand have the technology and military nouse to be a real air power.
