Ok, here’s a question I have always wanted answered. Why do many aircraft of of various nations carry the tricolour? Looking at the various nations that use this symbol I would hazzard to guess that it was a symbol of belonging to the Commonwealth. Is this correct? Why use the tircolour? . Can any nation use this symbol on their aircraft?
